The over 50 population is growing everyday, and more and more are
going online. With a growing demographic the internet is an
increasingly valuable tool for any Assisted Living Residence or
CCRC.
Here are just a few of the growing statistics:
- Today, 16.4 million senior citizens are actively online in the U.S.
By 2003 that number is expected to exceed 27 million, or 43% of all
U.S. seniors.
- 74% of wired seniors are married, 76% have at least some college
educations and 41% live in households with an annual income of at least
$50,000.
- 69% of wired seniors go online on a typical day, compared to 56% of all Internet users.
